Thousands of protesters gathered outside and inside the University of Illinois at Chicago Pavilion Friday night.
Several people were arrested after clashes with police officers
in the streets outside the Pavilion.
The event drew thousands of protesters who gathered outside
and inside the pavilion. At least three people, including two
police officers, received minor injuries.
Sergio Giraldo, 23, of the 1900 block of West Argyle Street,
was charged with two felony counts of aggravated battery to a
peace officer, a felony count of resisting and obstructing a peace
officer and two misdemeanor counts of resisting a peace officer.
Sohaan Goss, 21, of the 10600 block of South Langley Avenue,
was charged with a felony count of aggravated battery to a peace officer
and five misdemeanor counts of resisting and obstructing a peace officer.
Timothy Bradford, 32, of the 100 block of West Adams Street, was
charged with two misdemeanor counts of resisting and obstructing a
peace officer.
Kathleen Griffin, 45, of the 17200 block of South Rains Island Road in
Barbeau, Michigan, was charged with one misdemeanor count of resisting and obstructing a peace officer
All four are scheduled to appear in Cook County bond court today.
